Max Life iGenius Young Singing Stars event was being held at Taj Lands End – My experience.

The following blog post is about my experience regarding the Max Life iGenius Young Singing Stars event for which Blogadda had selected me.

First of all, I would like to mention that Blogadda had requested us to apply for attending this Max Life iGenius Young Singing Stars event which was going to be held at Taj Lands End, Bandra on 17th December 2014. Well, I was very excited to attend this event but I was not sure that I would be selected to attend this event. Even though, I was not sure I just applied for it and within a few weeks I got the mail from Blogadda and they asked me to confirm my attendance for the event. Now, I was super excited and this was the first time I would be visiting the Young Singing Stars Grand Finale event. I confirmed by replying to the mail sent by Blogadda and I also requested them to allow my sister along with me for this event. Within the next two days they replied and said that they have taken special permission to allow my sister along with me for this Grand Finale event.

My sister was not aware of this event and she at first said that she is busy and she will not be able to come. Then, I sent her an email showing that Blogadda had taken special permission for her and we both could attend the event on 17th December 2014.

She was also excited by knowing that Salim Merchant and YouTube Superstar - Shraddha Sharma were going to perform as well as judge all the young singing stars in this Grand Finale Event. At last we both confirmed and we planned to attend this event together. On that day, just before leaving the room, I got a call from my mom and she said son there’s an alert being declared in India so are you going for this event. For few moment’s, I was thinking on what to do. I replied to my mother that nothing wrong is going to happen. Well as we all know, the alert was being declared since because the Army Public School and Degree College in Peshawar, Pakistan was being brutally attacked by Taliban. Every nation and every human being on this planet was shocked on how some freaks can kill the innocent children’s and we all condemn this school attack.

In this way, I said that we should not get scared of moving freely around any city and I was determined to attend the Young Singing Star’s event at Taj Lands End Hotel. Me and my sister gathered at Dadar station and ventured to the venue. On that day, there was a lot of rush and the city of Mumbai is always over crowded during the peak events. At last we go down at Bandra Station and from there we reached the venue at 7.20 pm. During this time, I got a call from Mr. Anand Yadav who is a Marketing Strategy and Campaign Manager of Blogadda. I said that we are heading towards the event and we will be there in just 10 or 20 minutes.

At first, I thought, we are late for this event and would not be allowed to enter. But to my surprise, I and my sister were allowed inside the hall and the function was being delayed by one and a half hour.  Mr. Anand asked us to have a seat and we were waiting for the show to begin. I was looking around to guess some bloggers to whom I have met only through the internet by means of reading their blogs. Well, I reckoned a few but they all were busy with their groups so I decided not to disturb them. I found another guy who was seated just behind me and I asked him whether he is a blogger. He said, “Yes, I am a blogger and my name is Awanish Dwivedi”. In this way, he joined us and in the mean time announcement was being done that the Grand Finale is just going to start.

At the start of function, Manasi Scott greeted to all the audience present for the musical event and she took the opportunity to start by singing a song. It was a terrific start of the event and we saw the jury members Mr. Salim Merchant, Miss. Shraddha Sharma and Mr. Devraj Sanyal seated on the first row. After a few minutes, we also saw Mr. Shantonu Mukharji (Shaan) who is a well known Indian playback singer.

We all showed our deepest condolence by offering one minute silence for the children’s and victims who died in the Peshawar attack in Pakistan. Shaan left the event few minutes after the inauguration and Blogadda was able to have an interview with him right after his exit from this event. Watch it below:

After this Shraddha Sharma was being invited on the stage and she performed 2 to 3 songs and it was great to experience her voice talent in a live performance. The band group present for this musical event was awesome and Shraddha also said that they are doing amazing work to make this music event lively.

Now it was the time to cheer for Salim Merchant to perform but he was really heart by the incident that took in Army Public School and Degree College in Peshawar. So he did not sing much to entertain us but he dedicated a song showing his deepest condolence to all the victims who lost their lives.

After this the Young Singing Stars Grand Finale has actually begun and for this competition 2 winners were going to be selected. Of these two, one would be from junior and other from the senior group. Both of the winners would get a singing contract from Universal Music India.

In this way, first round which was of all junior singers started and they showed an introduction video of each contestant where we saw a ton of confidence in each one of them. I remember the contestant names as Abhinav Kumar, Arpita Basnet, Shereya Basu, Ashish Kumar Patra, Shivan Ahuja, Kanika Kapoor, Anuja Panchal, Shereyomi Chatterji, Shaurya Saxsena, Shraddha Shree and Vanika Kapoor.

Well, we could not wait till the end of the show as it was getting late so I and my sister we both decided to leave the show. As soon as we came out, Mr. Anand Yadav had asked us to have food before leaving. I was totally unaware that we would also be given a buffet dinner. We had the dinner in a jiffy (watch the dinner pics at the end of this post.) and we again thanked the organizers and left the musical event. It was a wonderful music event at the Taj Lands End.

My attempt to tackle situations with positive attitude helped me to rise above fear.

This is my entry to the contest "Rise above Fear" sponsored by MOUNTAIN DEW INDIA conducted by Indiblogger.

We all know that to succeed ahead in life we need to risk everything and it is obvious that the fear is always associated along with it. We also know that how parents get dreaded whenever something comes in the path of their children's healthy and successful life. It is nothing but the caring nature and affection towards their children. At times, this also leads to a situation where the fear can get settled over children's mind during their early age and at times it may last till their teenage. Obviously, it is necessary for parents to incorporate some fear in children's mind so that it is easier to keep their little champ in control. As shown in the following video, risks are to be taken to succeed ahead but the fact is that fear is always a necessity and we have to always overcome it.

In my early age, I was fascinated by the bicycle riders and I decided to learn bicycle riding when I was just about 10 years old. At that time I used to fall each day while learning to ride a bicycle and I used to try and hide every wound from my parents so that they don't shout at me. I was literally feared at their concern as well as scolding. Unfortunately, my mom used to spot out the wounds after a day or two and I used to say that those wounds were not the newest. In few days, according to my conception I felt that I had learnt to ride a bicycle to near about perfection and I headed towards the highway which was just few meters from my home.

As the highway road was newly built, I had started enjoying the ride but at the very next moment, I felt because of the unevenness between the road and footpath. This time, my right knee had hit the ground rigorously and the wound was unbearable. Somehow I went home and told my parents that I went to highway and I got injured. Though I pretended to be clam, they were in a lot of fear and they said to me what if any vehicle would have banged at you? I saw the fear in their eyes and I said that I will not go towards highway again. But my parent's made sure that I won't get the bicycle keys for the next one month. The good thing was that they did not scold me a lot since my knee was severely injured. I was given first aid box to help myself since I was pretending nothing has happened. But my fascination continued and I used to ride my friends bicycle while coming home from school.

After a month, I got the keys back and this time I told my parents that I won't fall from now onwards as I said that my friends have helped me to ride a bicycle in the right way. But this time, I was feared to ride my bicycle through the highway for schooling. Each day, I used to get down and walk along sideways of that highway and I used to focus that exact spot where I had felt rigorously. One day, my friend also asked me to show that place and he said that it's not your fault it is the unevenness that caused you a severe injury. He also said that last few days I had been riding his bicycle perfectly. Next, he said that the only thing where I needed to focus was to be more confident than getting fearsome about the highways.

The next day, I said to myself, I have to overcome this fear and ride my bicycle through highways rather than walking sideways. After few minutes, I came to that uneven spot and unknowingly, I slowly passed that patch without falling over. The next day, I was more confident and later I used to go either from inside or outside of that uneven patch with full speed. Therefore, my attempt to tackle these situations positively has helped me to rise above fear. In this way, I decided to use bicycle not only for schooling purpose but for the college life as well. Few years, back I had completed my master's degree and I am proud to say that I used bicycle throughout my entire education life rather than using a bike or moped. We had a scooter but I preferred bicycle since I still love riding a bicycle.

A blog to feed a child.

Today, choosing a right carrier is the mammoth task for every child in India as we all know that the competition exists in each and every field. So it is important that every child in this country should be able to focus on carrier rather than the basic need of fulfilling their hunger. The hunger should be for the achievement of success and that too in the field of their choice as well as interest. Unfortunately, there are many children's in India who could not even go to school due to their poor background. So as shown in the video below, by Akshaya Patra Foundation, the aim is to send every child in India to bear the hunger for education and not for the food.

We all need to know that if we are hungry, we aim for food first and not for the education. In this way, "I am going to #BlogToFeedAChild with Akshaya Patra and BlogAdda". We know that the literacy rate in India is very poor and only few students could reach the 8th standard. The reason behind this is that the poor student's cannot grasp the lessons taught in the class since they are hungry as well as some of them work part-time after the schooling hours. Therefore, it is important that the children's should be given a mid-day meal so that at least for few hours they can focus on to their studies in the right way.

Akshaya Patra Foundation has rightly spotted out why children's could not perform properly and focus on the hunger of education. In this way, I think that Akshaya Patra will surely be able to eliminate the classroom hunger of all the school going children's since because their mission is "Unlimited Food for Education". The mid-day meal will surely help all the children's to learn properly and with this program the they will be able to prepare themselves to stay hungry for education endlessly. It is for sure, that just because of the mid-day meal program every school going children will perform decently in studies and be successful in their schooling education.

I thank Blogadda and Akshaya Patra Foundation for this opportunity to blog and feed a child.

Always be up-to-date in your appearance since it is important to grab the opportunity at first.

'This post is a part of #WillYouShave activity at BlogAdda in association with Gillette'.

We all know how important it is to be a successful human being in today's fast paced world. We also know that there are limited opportunities available in the sector's that are of our interest and liking. So it is our duty to be skilful, go getter and a smart worker rather than the hard worker so that we can grab every opportunity that lies in the area of our interest. Otherwise, If we don't try ourselves beyond our limit's, we would not be able to seize the opportunity that is relevant to our skill set and exhibit our exuberance.

Well, it is obvious that we could, sometimes miss the opportunities not because we are incapable of performing and delivering good results but because of our stubble that grows each day. It sounds silly, but yes. It really does. Once I also heard that the cleanly shaven man is always considered as a gentleman, skilful person and a smart worker whenever it comes to a situation where only one of the two person's had to be chosen to perform a task. In such cases, the one who has a greater amount of stubble will have to face rejection and think on what went wrong when everything was up to the mark. Here, it is important to know that when two persons are willing to board on a single platform, only that person would be given a chance who appears to be up-to-date in terms of physical appearance rather than the skills possessed by both of them. Unfortunately, in real such is the importance of our appearance so please grab the Gillete to shave and leverage the opportunities of your choice.

In this way, I would like to take this opportunity to mention an incident where I had to collect a missed chance in my sporting section of life. Well, as India is the country where Cricket is religion and Sachin Tendulkar is the God of Cricket, me in my teenage was obviously fascinated by the game of cricket. In my school days, I played good cricket but I did not represent the school sports team. After completing my schooling, I decided to join the cricket club where I could play cricket and get a feel of playing for a professional team.

Everything, was fine till the day our cricket club announced a match against another club who used to practice alongside us on the same ground. Our coach announced that we will have a match with that club on Sunday and everyone has to be present on the field before 9.00 am. I was worried about my stubble rather than my cricketing skills since because every time I used to sweat, I had to scrub my jaw annoyingly. While batting it was irritating since because wearing batting gloves, helmet and all the cricketing gear it was not possible to get rid of rubbing the stubble. So this was, the reason which distracted me a lot while practising for the match day.

Although, I was confident with my cricketing skills, I was damn sure that I would be opening the innings and I did not care for the stubble and on that day I went on the field before 9.00 am. To my surprise, no one was present on the field that day and our coach started to scold me not because of my stubble but because no team mate was present on the field. My coach shouted at me in a very bad manner and asked me to gather all the chaps within 30 minutes. I started calling everyone and was able to team up all the team members within 20 minutes.

Now it was the time for toss based on which, the team batting first would be decided. Our captain went for the toss and he wins it and we all were cheered-up since we were going to start the innings by batting first. Now I was in a possession of gearing up to open the innings, but my coach said that I should not open the innings since I have joined the club just few days back. I was being ordered to bat at position no. 7 and I said that it was really a bad day for me and in the mean while our match started. I was watching other guys opening the innings even after possessing above average cricketing skills.

Now I started scolding my team mates on why they did not come in time and I explained that I was the only creature to hear scolding of our coach. I even said that I was not given a chance to open innings just because all of you had come so late. Some of them said that common man cheer-up its Sunday and don't you know that it takes time for shaving the stubble. Suddenly, I came to know that It would have been ok if I had also come late by investing my time on clearing the stubble on my face. I also found that our coach did respect the guys who were cleanly shaven.

Well as mentioned above, "It is the human nature to offer an opportunity to only that person who is up-to-date in his appearance". In this way, I had seriously missed an opportunity which I could have seized easily by investing some of the time on my appearance on that Sunday. So friends, take a lesson from this incident and tell me #WillYouShave or not. Always be up-to-date in your appearance, since skills can also be grabbed after being assigned the opportunity to perform.

I request my following blogger friends (the list is at random so don't think that I have given priority to some mentions given below) to accept the challenge which is to blog about #WillYouShave activity and grab the opportunity to earn unlimited by tagging your friends as well.
