I am inspired by the idea of electricity conservation.

I came across the video of João Lammoglia where he is talking about electricity that most of the people on this planet use carelessly. I landed on this video just because of Franklin Templeton India who has joined hands together with the TEDxGateway Mumbai way back on December 2012.  


Franklin Templeton Investments partnered the TEDxGateway Mumbai in December 2012.

My thoughts about the careless electricity usage is that we all still have time to conserve our natural resources and we all need to support this idea which is about generating electricity rather than just consuming or using it carelessly.

You can clearly see that the mango tree is being completely dehydrated due to immense heat. In this way the following pic signs that they need attention at least during the summer season.

The perfect road trip would be with autobots, me and my friends.

The idea of a perfect road trip according to my imagination will be along with the autobots, me and my friends. As I am fond of Ambi Pur car perfumes, it is a companion rather than a fragrance machine for such perfect journey. The autobots along this trip are only Bumblebee and Optimus Prime.

My image for this theme is as follows: The sand has got many shapes and following image is being snapped in the early morning near the Meera Mar beach Goa.  The sand has a pattern of shapes which also includes our footsteps as well. Luckily I found the two pigeons sitting in the sand and they really add value to the image below. Few of them flew away but I managed to capture only 2 in this image. You can see the shapes of pigeons who were sitting, footsteps and naturally formed patterns along the coast.

My image for this theme is as follows: Till today, I have not submitted my best images for this contest but this image added below is the best one for me. Although I was not willing to post it but I had to post it because I have captured rain with my Nokia 5220 XpressMusic handset. On that day, the rain started pouring at such pace that I could hear every droplet and view it as well. Therefore, I grabbed my handset and snapped this pic and you can clearly see that there were no dark clouds up in the sky.  I have clicked this moment at the start of rainy season way back in the year 2011.

I tried to capture this moment a number of time but at all times it used to look into the book. This time I have captured it when it was looking at my mobile camera.

My image for this theme is as follows: I have seen many people capturing innocent birds or they purchase these birds that are being caged illegally. When I asked few of them as to why they would keep them in cage then they gave me an answer that they really love those birds and they want to feed them as well. So for all such people I would request them to take a look at the following pic and you will clearly see that this bird is not being caged and neither is it purchased by me. I don't know the exact name of this bird, but I think it is Black Drongo which is rarely seen seeking nectar out of flower trees. In my balcony there is a hibiscus flower pot and it has several ants which might be of interest to this Black Drongo bird. Now if you take a closer look, I have tied 2 grapes to the balcony grill thinking that this bird or of other type will eat it. On that day I have kept an eye on it for the entire day, but only ants were attracted and no bird tried to taste it. But interesting thing was that the ants were eating those grapes and the small birds love to eat ants and that may be reason for this Black Drongo bird visiting my balcony garden again and again. 

You can see just below the bird, I have attached a cracked jar which is repaired and I use it for providing water for birds. So I would suggest every reader of this blog that if the birds like these are visiting your residential area then please try to make their visit count by providing some water and tiny amount of food. Also while placing a water container for birds you should take care that the container is being washed each day so that they always get fresh water. In this way, we can show our love towards such tiny birds and they will no longer be caged. 

If we really love birds, they don't need to be caged.

Theme of 18th July is Bridge.
 
My image for this theme is as follows: The bridge in the following image is quite old and because of that it has been restricted for heavy vehicles.  Also people start ignoring the old one just because the new one is stronger and wider. I have snapped this pic from the newly constructed bridge and I just forgot to step on this very old bridge and capture the image of new one. 

A bridge is known by the strength of its pillars and 

not by the number of vehicles passing through it. 

In this way, the human beings will be known for not only bridging the gap but for beholding the foundation for a long period of time as well.

Theme of 17th July is Bliss.
 
My image for this theme is as follows:  A blissful moment for all of us is "Helicopter". 

The helicopter landing area is just few meters away from my apartment and whenever I hear a sound of it, I rush towards my balcony and many a times I have forgot to carry my camera mobile handset to snap a photograph of it. Every kid in my colony starts shouting helicopter, helicopter, ........... and so on till it disappears or it takes a halt. 

Just watch this video of helicopter which I have recorded using Nokia 5220 XpressMusic handset.  Prior to that set your PC's volume to a bit higher volume so that you too utter helicopter as soon as the following video starts.



The interesting thing about this image is that It was being snapped in the year 2009 and the counter of this image in my mobile handset was 0429. Again a bliss moment of numbers 2 and 9. In this way, I guess, a helicopter will always be a bliss moment for every one of us and we all unknowingly utter its name whenever we hear its sound.

My image for this theme is as follows: The following photograph is about first ever fly over bridge in my city Kolhapur. It is an art designed to simplify the journey of vehicles by extracting the obstacles where we the human beings don't like to wait and waste our time. The following architecture is being built over the railway crossing from which is the only gateway to the Kolhapur city. The photograph below was being snapped in the year 2010.

When the focus is on you as an object, the background appears to be pouring a splashing spotlight so that you perform better at each moment in life. 


First of all, I would like to mention that the image attached below might not be a perfect match for the theme Bokeh. I feel that the flower plant in my balcony is the object of interest and the background is of clouds and sun both appearing in blurred format.

My image for this theme is as follows: The window in my house gives me an incredible sunrise view and at first I did not like those steel grills on to it. But they are for safety purpose and in this photograph you can see that the sun rays are getting deflected because of that grill which makes this pic stand out. So now I like those grills because it gave me a nice photograph early in the morning. The following photograph is being snapped in early morning of the summer 2013 using my Nokia XpressMusic 5220 mobile handset.

My image for this theme is as follows: The summer season was at its last phase and work for electricity board was to cut the branches which could interrupt the power supply. The tool used for such type of work is shown below and it really is an important tool for these employees working for electricity board. I snapped this photograph because the power supply was being cut and I rushed in balcony with my mobile Nokia XpressMusic 5220. In this way the work of smashing those extraneous tree branches was being carried out in our residential area so as to avoid short circuit of those power lines during storms and unseasonal rains.
